Matthew F. Reyes is the Strategic Content Manager for GoPro’s Advanced Media team, including virtual reality (VR), spherical/360° capture, and other advanced media realms. At GoPro, Matthew is the pivotal interface between external partners and GoPro team developers to execute projects, such as the recent “Human Arrow Project” where Jeb Corliss flew over the Great Wall of China at 120mph and hit a target the size of a small apple in May 2016.

Prior to GoPro, Matthew worked as a NASA subcontractor via the company he founded: Exploration Solutions, which provides exploration opportunities, technology project management, and consulting services for government, academic, entertainment, and NewSpace business sectors.

Matthew has been engaged in the space and ‘maker space’ industry for over 16 years; holding positions as a Technology and Education Strategist at NASA Ames Research Center, Directing Technical Operations at ZERO Gravity Corporation, and as serving as manager for the official Burning Man Webcast, guest editor for Make Magazine, and international speaker for “Campus Party” covering topics involving DIY-space exploration. Matthew is also the lead advisor for the upcoming Dent:Space conference being held at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco in September 2016.

Much of Matthew’s efforts have been focused on exploration, education, and technology projects that enable citizen scientists, engineers, and Makers to explore outer space – and ultimately improve humanity’s wellbeing on Earth.
